History of the Lisbon Naval Association
The Lisbon Naval Association (LNA), founded on April 30, 1856, as the Real Associação Naval, is the oldest nautical club in Portugal and the Iberian Peninsula. Initially focused on yachting and recreational boating, the club has since expanded to include rowing, powerboating, and canoeing. Over the years, LNA has been dedicated to promoting amateur sports and supporting the construction of boats, as well as participating in the creation of sports legislation and organizing nautical events.
